ITINERARY:
Day 1 – Monday, October 13, 2025 (D)
Depart from your home city and embark on a scenic journey toward the beautiful state of Vermont. As we travel, take in the picturesque landscapes that unfold along the way. This afternoon, we will arrive at the Vermont Country Store, an iconic destination renowned for its unique and nostalgic treasures. In the evening, we’ll enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, where you can indulge in the delightful flavors of Vermont cuisine. After a satisfying meal, we’ll check in at The Pointe at Castle Hill, where you can relax and unwind during our comfortable two-night stay.
Day 2 – Tuesday, October 14, 2025 (B,D)
Start your day with a hearty breakfast at your hotel before embarking on a day of touring beautiful Vermont. Your first destination is the Hildene Estate, the historic mansion of Robert Todd Lincoln, the son of President Abraham Lincoln. Here, you can enjoy self-guided tours of the elegantly preserved Georgian Revival mansion and stroll through the stunning gardens, immersing yourself in the rich history of the Lincoln family. As you wander the expansive 412-acre property, don’t miss the chance to see the 1903 Pullman railcar named “Sunbeam,” explore the working goat dairy, and traverse the scenic walking trails.
After free time for lunch in the quaint town of Manchester, the day continues with a visit to the Green Mountain Sugar House, where you’ll learn about the fascinating process of maple syrup production. Don’t miss out on the delicious tasting session of fresh maple products that follows!
Later on, we’ll take the Calvin Coolidge Homestead Tour. This site features exhibits that narrate the story of Coolidge’s life—from his childhood all the way to his time in the White House. As the evening approaches, enjoy dinner at a local favorite restaurant, relishing the flavors of the area. After a fulfilling day, unwind and relax at your hotel.
Day 3 – Wednesday, October 15, 2025 (B,D)
The day begins with a delightful breakfast at the hotel. After checking out, we head to the Rock of Ages Granite Quarry, where you’ll embark on a guided tour that reveals the fascinating world of granite mining. You’ll have the chance to see impressive stone sculptures and learn about the process that turns raw granite into stunning works of art. Next, we’ll make our way to Waterbury, Vermont, where you’ll have some leisure time for lunch and browsing the unique shops.
After lunch, it’s time for a sweet treat at the Ben & Jerry’s Factory. You’ll be guided through the factory, discovering the ice cream-making process and, of course, sampling some of their famous flavors. Following our stop at Ben & Jerry’s, we’ll take a ride on the Stowe Gondola. This breathtaking ride offers panoramic views of the majestic mountains and lush landscapes, making it an unforgettable experience.
Later, we’ll visit the Trapp Family Lodge, a place steeped in history due to its connection to the von Trapp family from “The Sound of Music.” Enjoy a guided tour of the iconic lodge, explore the picturesque grounds, and learn about the family’s fascinating story and contributions to the area. As the day winds down, a delicious dinner will be served. Finally, we’ll check in to Comfort Suites in St. Johnsbury, VT, where you’ll enjoy a comfortable two-night stay.
Day 4 – Thursday, October 16, 2025 (B,D)
Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Our journey to New Hampshire kicks off with the scenic Franconia Notch Drive. As we travel, be prepared to take in stunning views adorned with vibrant autumn colors, perfect for capturing memorable photos. Our first stop is Faddens General Store, a charming local shop that offers a wide range of New England goodies, from homemade jams and maple syrup to unique souvenirs.
Next, we’ll drive along the Kankamagus Highway, renowned for its breathtaking fall scenery. This stretch of road is often lauded as one of the best places to witness the explosion of autumn colors, with the mountains and forests reflecting shades of red, orange, and gold.
After soaking in the views, we’ll enjoy a scenic cruise on Lake Winnepesaukee. As we glide over the water, take a moment to appreciate the peaceful surroundings and stunning landscapes that make this region so famous. Following the cruise, we’ll board the Winnepesaukee Scenic Railroad for a unique ride through the beautiful countryside. While on the train, we’ll enjoy a delightful Thanksgiving Dinner, a perfect way to savor the local flavors while taking in the picturesque views from our seats. As the day winds down, we’ll return to our hotel to relax and unwind.
Day 5 – Friday, October 17, 2025 (B)
On your final tour day, enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After checking out, head to the Friesians of Majesty Horse Show, an experience that promises to be one of the highlights of your trip. Witness the beauty and grace of these stunning horses, known for their striking black coats and flowing manes. As you arrive, you’ll be greeted by knowledgeable guides who will share fascinating insights into the Friesian breed and its rich history. The interactive show allows you to get up close and personal with these majestic animals, providing opportunities to learn about their training, care, and unique talents.
